Teaching Positions

Advertisements for Permanent and Long Term Occasional Positions are concentrated in March and April; however, vacancies can and do arise at any time. The application deadline is clearly indicated in the Advertisement. All teaching positions are advertised internally; in the Chronicle Journal (Thunder Bay Daily Newspaper); on the Jobs in Education Website ( www.jobsineducation.com ); and on this website ( www.sgdsb.on.ca ). If difficulty in recruiting occurs, we often advertise in the Globe & Mail.

Positions are open to all persons certified to teach in the Province of Ontario who possess the appropriate qualifications. Applications should include a resume outlining qualifications, experience and an up-to-date Certificate of Qualification. Applicants must also submit the names of two (2) professional references along with telephone numbers and a written authorization from the applicant permitting the Board to contact these references. While we appreciate all applications received, only those to be interviewed will be contacted. Resumes should be directed by mail or fax to:

Supply Teaching Positions

The Superior-Greenstone District School Board accepts applicants for supply teaching at any time. Persons certified to teach in the Province of Ontario are invited to submit resumes directly to the school(s) where they wish to provide their service.
