Principal's Message

Principal's Message

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to school.  It is my goal to make the 2016 – 2017 school year at Manitouwadge High School a memorable one for everyone. I would like to begin by welcoming the incoming class of grade 9 students. This September will be the start of your journey through high school. Your high school years are both exciting and challenging. They will provide you with an opportunity to meet new friends and become involved in the numerous school activities and sports at MHS. It will also be a journey of self discovery. As you move towards graduation, you will begin to realize your personal strengths and begin to decide on potential career paths.

For our graduating students, the 2016 – 2017 school year will be an opportunity to provide leadership within the school.  As senior students, you can be a positive role model for the rest of the student body. Make your contributions to MHS this year ones that will leave a lasting legacy that you will look back upon with pride.

I would like to remind everyone that school is what you make of it and that it is critically important that you take time to make sure you are prepared for learning whether it is making sure you have completed your assignments, that you arrive on time, or that you participate in course activities and tasks.  If you are having difficulties, please make sure you talk to a staff member. They are here to provide as much support as possible.

I hope that everyone, both staff and students, have a tremendously successful year.

Yours in Education,

Mrs. Brewster
