False Lockdown Alarm at Terrace Bay Public School

Dear Families,

 

This message is to inform you that on December 1, 2023, at our Terrace Bay Public School, the lockdown alarm was falsely triggered.

 

As per the Superior-Greenstone District School Board Lockdown Policy, staff quickly responded and discovered that the lockdown alarm was falsely triggered.  The Ontario Provincial Police responded immediately as per procedure and inspected the school.   At no time were any students in any danger, and we are very proud of the way that our students and staff handled themselves during this incident.

We want you to know that student safety is of the utmost importance.  If you have any questions regarding this occurrence, please contact the school Principal at 807-825-3253.
