Welcome

COVID-19 Advisory March 23, 2021

March 23, 2021 - We have received notification of COVID-19 exposure impacting the B.A. Parker Public School and possibly the Geraldton Composite High School.  The Superior-Greenstone District School Board is working closely with Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) to make sure all potential risks are minimized.

At this time, all known close contacts of any case are being called by the school and communication will be sent with instructions for moving forward.  All students and staff from the B.A. Parker Public School are required by the Public Health Unit to immediately self-isolate until further notice.

Due to our COVID-19 prevention strategies in place, both the B.A. Parker Public School and the Geraldton Composite High School will operate virtually with no in-person instruction taking place beginning March 24, 2021.   The TBDHU, school and school board will continue to monitor and assess the situation until the full risk period has passed.

For additional information about COVID-19 and the TBDHU area, please visit the TBDHU website.  This information will be added to our school boards COVID-19 Advisory page on our website.  As per Ministry requirements, all confirmed cases in schools will be uploaded to this website.

For reasons of privacy, we will minimize sharing personal information about any case and encourage others to avoid identifying individuals.

The safety and health of our students and staff are our top priority and we will continue to keep families informed.
