Earn a Grade 9 Credit Before High School
Start High School with Confidence, Joy, and Momentum!
The Reach Ahead Program is available to Grade 8 students transitioning to Grade 9 for the opportunity to earn a Grade 9 High School credit before they begin high school. This unique program is designed to help students feel confident, prepared, and excited about the move to Grade 9. The transition to high school is an important milestone. Reach Ahead ensures students begin this next chapter feeling strong, capable, and ready. The program is about more than earning a credit, it is about building confidence, healthy habits, and excitement for what lies ahead.
The program begins on March 24, 2026 and ends on June 26, 2026 and will include virtual sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Reach Ahead includes flexible asynchronous learning outside of the synchronous times. Successful completion of this course will count towards the compulsory credit requirement for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

🧠 Mental Wellness and Resilience
Students develop strategies to manage stress, build coping skills, and ask for support when needed.
⏰ Time Management and Responsibility
Students practise organization, meeting deadlines, and balancing commitments in a safe, structured setting.
Program Dates and Times

Live Online Learning
Tuesdays and Thursdays | 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Interactive, engaging sessions focused on community building and skill development.
Independent Learning
Flexible weekly tasks that allow students to practise time management and responsibility.
