Pulse Check Survey Results
Listening, Learning and Growing Together
At Superior-Greenstone District School Board, listening to the voices of our students, staff, families and communities is an important part of how we learn, grow and plan for the future.
Throughout the school year, we use Pulse Check Surveys to better understand the experiences of students and staff in our schools. These short surveys give participants an opportunity to tell us how things are going, what is working well and where there may be opportunities for continued growth and support.
How Your Feedback Helps
The feedback collected through our Pulse Check Surveys provides valuable information that helps us monitor and guide our collective work in implementing the Multi-Year Strategic Plan.
Survey results help us identify trends, better understand the experiences of students and staff, and reflect on the impact of our programs, services and supports. Along with other sources of information and ongoing conversations with our school communities, these results help inform student-focused planning and decision making across the district.
Our goal is not simply to collect feedback, but to listen, learn and use what we hear to support continuous improvement.
Protecting Privacy and Confidentiality
SGDSB works with Future Design School, an independent third-party partner, to support the administration and analysis of our Pulse Check Surveys.
Individual survey responses are kept confidential, with only select members of the Future Design School team having access to survey responses. SGDSB receives information that helps us understand broader experiences, patterns and areas for consideration while respecting the confidentiality of participants.
Creating opportunities for students and staff to share their experiences openly is an important part of ensuring the feedback we receive is meaningful.
What We Heard
Below, families and community members can explore highlights from our most recent Pulse Check Survey results.

These results provide a snapshot of what we heard at the time of the survey. As we continue to gather feedback through future Pulse Checks, we will be able to reflect on our progress, recognize areas of strength and identify opportunities to continue improving the experiences of students and staff.
Moving Forward Together
Our Multi-Year Strategic Plan reflects our shared commitment to students and their success. Feedback from our school communities helps keep that work responsive to the needs and experiences of the people we serve.
Our mission is to work together to engage students through meaningful learning and empower them to build the skills they need to be successful today and in the future.
Together, we continue striving toward our vision to meet the needs of all learners while sparking curiosity and joy in learning.
Thank you to every student and staff member who takes the time to share their voice. Your feedback is an important part of our collective work to strengthen learning and the student experience across SGDSB.
