Fire Alarm at MTPS

Subject: Update on Today's Fire Alarm at Margaret Twomey Public School

In the afternoon on November 11, 2025, the fire alarm was activated at Margaret Twomey Public School due to a leak in the school's fire suppression system. The Marathon Fire Department responded promptly and confirmed that it was safe for everyone to return inside the building.

Out of an abundance of caution, some classrooms have been temporarily reassigned to different learning spaces within the school while maintenance staff complete the necessary repairs.

We want to reassure families that all students and staff are safe and that safety remains our highest priority. We appreciate the quick response of emergency personnel and the cooperation of our staff and students during the evacuation.
