School Closure Notice – Weather Impact

As our region continues to experience significant impacts from the winter storm, all Superior-Greenstone District School Board schools are closed today, Friday, December 19, 2025, out of an abundance of caution and commitment to safety, with the exception of Manitouwadge High School (MNHS) and Manitouwadge Public School (MNPS), which remain open.

In addition, the Superior-Greenstone District School Board Office in Marathon and the Learning Centre in Red Rock will be closed today.

All school buses are cancelled for the day.

We understand that ongoing weather-related closures and transportation cancellations may create challenges for families, staff, and community partners. We sincerely appreciate your continued patience, understanding, and flexibility as we prioritize the safety of students, staff, and our communities.

Additional updates will be shared as they become available through school and board communication channels.

Students are encouraged to visit Edsby for classroom communication and updates from their teachers.

As a reminder, schools will be closed for the Holiday Break from December 22, 2025, to January 2, 2026. We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday, January 5, 2026.
