What is the SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM?

Maintaining literacy and numeracy skills is essential to children's education. Often times students will lose some of these skills throughout the summer months. This program is designed to specifically help students close that gap and build confidence in their return to school in September.

Students will be engaged in literacy and numeracy skills while participating in fun activities throughout the day. Teachers and students work together to learn reading, writing and mathematics. Everyone takes part in field trips, guest speakers, and outdoor fun.

TIME: 9AM - 2PM Mondays to Friday

This program is ideal for students between SK and Grade 5 who are currently achieving level 2 in their classes. Any student who may need literacy or numeracy assistance is welcome!

This program includes a healthy living component. Students are provided with a free, daily, healthy snack as they learn about the importance of nutrition. Kids also participate in lots of physical activity to learn about the importance of exercise in healthy living.
